Bird Droppings are better than Cranes Falling..

Sean, City Island II Project Manager, has replied to our request to point the cranes and the subsequent bird droppings away from City Island I.

Unfortunately on this occasion he cannot help, as the cranes are left to swing in to the prevailing winds in something called 'Free Slew', presumably to stop them blowing down. So it looks like a few bird droppings are better than a few cranes falling on us...

unfortunately the cranes are put in what is called free slew which means they point into the prevailing wind. We are unable to lock them off or we would.
