Monks Bridge Early Morning Noise

Some weeks ago, some several people raised concerns that even though the Monks Bridge development site had agreed to start noisy work only during at certain times, as per below, this was not happening.

A start time for noisy activities of 08:00 and no earlier.
An approximate finish time of 17:00
No work on a Sunday or bank holidays

I have emailed the site manager and his response is copied in below. Let us know if matters improve.

Sorry it’s taken a little time to get back to you but there have been a few related issues to resolve recently.

As always the problem lies in differing individuals perception of ‘noisy’ work.

In order to resolve matters temporarily, I have requested that all heavy plant remain silent (diggers with engines not started) until after 8am.

There is however 1 exception to this that I would ask you to convey to the residents, that is, that when we are removing spoil from site on wagons, that this operation commences at 7.30am in order to get the first wagons out of town before rush hour.
