Wellington Place Development

Wellington Place is the huge new development that is going to stretch from Whitehall Road to Wellington Street, basically stretching from the canal by the current Monks Bridge development all the way around to the where the Crowne Plaza Hotel is and away from us into town. Whilst the development looks impressive (See www.wellingtonplace.co.uk) and will ultimately result in benefits for City Island in a more developed and desirable area, it will also, obviously, impact residents of City Island whilst it is being constructed, which from the size of it looks like it could be several years.

I have had an initial conversation today with Chris Davidson, the Development Manager for Wellington Place and have arranged to have a meeting with him on Friday the 8th of December at 10am to discuss the plans and particularly to understand how they will impact the residents of City Island. If anyone would also like to attend this meeting, let me know by the end of the week.
